External clock switch
Turn this switch on if you want the UA-1000 to synchronize to the word clock from an external digital device
or to the digital signal being input from the digital input jack. If synchronization is occurring correctly, the
external clock switch will light, and the UA-1000 will be in external clock mode.
If you are synchronizing to the digital signal or recording it, you must turn on the external clock switch.
If the external clock switch is blinking, synchronization has not been achieved. The UA-1000 will not be able
to record or play back correctly. Please check the settings of the connected equipment.
Possible reasons for problems
• The word clock from the connected digital device or the digital signal from the digital input jack is
not being received correctly
• The sampling frequency does not match the setting of the sampling frequency select switch.
If the word clock input connector and the digital input connector are both connected, the word clock input
connector will take priority.
If the UA-1000 is synchronized to the word clock, the digital device connected to the digital input jack must
also be synchronized to the word clock.
If the digital device connected to the digital input is not synchronized to the word clock, the digital
input and digital output will not operate correctly.
* Turning off the power of the UA-1000 will not change the setting of this switch.
