Setting Up the Kit
An Overview of the TD-20

1.
Turn off the power of all devices before you
make connections.

* To prevent malfunction and/or damage to speakers or other
devices, always turn down the volume, and turn off the power
on all devices before making any connections.
2.
Connect the MASTER OUT L (MONO) and R
jacks on the rear panel to your audio system or
amp. Headphones should ONLY be connected
to the PHONES jack.
3.
Connect the supplied power cord to the AC
inlet.
4.
Plug the power cord plug into a power outlet.
The TD-20’s MIX IN jack allows you to play along with a
CD or other audio sources.
To adjust the volume of the device connected to the MIX
IN jack, turn the [MIX IN] knob on the TD-20’s top panel.
The sound input from the MIX IN jack can be output
from the MASTER OUT, PHONES, or DIRECT OUT 5–8
jacks (p. 78).

* When connection cables with resistors are used, the volume
level of equipment connected to the MIX IN jack may be low. If
this happens, use connection cables that do not contain
resistors, such as those from the Roland PCS series.
