D24—Owner’s Manual
Supported MMC Commands
The D24 supports the following MMC commands.
Setting the MMC Device Number
When MMC is used with several MIDI devices, each must be assigned an exclusive
identity number, so that only the intended device responds to the transmitted com-
mands.
1 Press the [UTILITY] button.
The UTILITY indicator lights up.
2 Use the JOG/DATA dial to select MMC DEVICE, and then press the [ENTER]
button.
The current MMC Device setting appears on the display.
3 Use the JOG/DATA dial to select a device number from 1 through 127.
The default setting is 1.
4 Press the [ENTER] button to activate your selection, or the [CANCEL] button
to cancel the MMC Device function.
5 Press the [UTILITY] button again to leave utility.
The UTILITY indicator goes out.
Command MMC # Description
Stop 01
The D24 stops recording, rehearsal, playback,
rewind, or fast forward.
Play 02
The D24 starts playback. This command is
ignored during recording or rehearsal.
Play 03
The D24 locates to the specied timecode
address, and then starts playback. This com-
mand is ignored during recording or rehearsal.
Fast Forward 04
The D24 fast forwards. If this command is
received during recording or rehearsal, the
D24 stops recording or rehearsal and fast for-
wards.
Rewind 05
The D24 rewinds. If this command is received
during recording or rehearsal, the D24 stops
recording or rehearsal and rewinds.
Record Strobe 06
If the D24 is stopped, it starts recording. If its
playing, it punches in.
Record Exit 07 The D24 stops recording.
MMC Reset 0D
The D24 resets its MMC functions to their ini-
tial values.
Eject OA Ejects the disk.
Write 40
The D24 writes the data to the specied infor-
mation eld.
Locate 44
The D24 locates to the timecode address
stored in the specied information eld.
REC Mode Information eld 4C
Toggles the D24 between Rehearsal and
Record.
Track Record Ready Information eld 4F Selects tracks for recording.
