Correct Timing Inaccuracies
(Quantize)
Quantize is a function that corrects the timing of notes to a
specified resolution.
For example even if you intend to play at quarter-note
timing, the notes may be slightly earlier or later than precise
quarter-note intervals. In such cases, you can quantize to
quarter note (1/4) timing to adjust the timing of the notes to
precise quarter-note intervals.
1.
Press the [Function] button.
2.
Press the Select [-] [+] buttons to select “Edit
Menu.”
3.
Press the [Rec] button.
4.
Press the Select [-] [+] buttons to select “Quan-
tize.”
To cancel the operation, press the [Reset] button.
5.
Press the [Rec] button.
6.
Press the [Bwd]/[Fwd] buttons to select the
track whose recording you wish to quantize.
Settings:
ALL
,
RHYTHM, ACCOMP, BASS, LOW-
ER, UPPER, SOLO
If you select “ALL”, the recording in all the tracks will be
quantized.

Press the [Rec] button.
8.
Press the [Bwd] / [Fwd] buttons to specify
“from” (quantize start measure).
9.
Press the [Rec] button.
10.
Press the [Bwd] / [Fwd] buttons to specify “for”
(number of measures from the quantize start
measure).
To specify the recording to the last measure (bar), set “for:
ALL”.
11.
Press the [Rec] button.
12.
Press the [Bwd] / [Fwd] button to specify “Res”
(timing to which notes will be adjusted).
“Res” (timing to which notes will be adjusted) can be set
to the following values.

Press the [Rec] button.
The following display appears.
To cancel the operation, press the [Reset] button.
14.
To execute the Quantize function, press the
[Rec] button once again.
When quantization is completed, the basic screen reap-
pears.
