By default, MSTP is enabled on all ports after
you enable MSTP in system view.
To enable a device to operate more flexibly,
you can disable MSTP on specific ports. As
MSTP-disabled ports do not participate in
spanning tree calculation, this operation saves
CPU resources of the device.
You are not recommended to enable MSTP on GigabitEthernet 1/0/29 on the switching engine of the
WX3024, GigabitEthernet 1/0/11 on the switching engine of the WX3010 or GigabitEthernet 1/0/9 on
the switching engine of the WX3008.
Other MSTP-related settings can take effect only after MSTP is enabled on the device.
Configuration example

related configurations, you are recommended to
enable MSTP after performing other configurations.
