Setting Parameters with the Jog Dial Preference Menu
4. Local Control
Determines whether TENORI-ON performance input (data) controls the internal MIDI tone
generator (ON) or not (OFF).
When set to "OFF" no sound will be output from the TENORI-ON speakers or headphone
jack, but performance data will still be transmitted via the MIDI connector. Also, the LED
buttons will produce no sound when operated if this parameter is set to "OFF."

5. Synchronize
Sets the master or slave status for multiple TENORI-ON units to be synchronized via a MIDI
connection. The "Master" TENORI-ON provides the clock for all "Slave" TENORI-ON units.
A TENORI-ON set to the Slave mode will only function properly if correctly connected to the Master TENORI-
ON.
For synchronized operation, make sure that the Master TENORI-ON is playing back at a tempo that is close to
the tempo at which the performance data for the Slave TENORI-ON was created. The Slave performance
may not be reproduced properly if there is too great a difference between the tempos.
