Turn B to select “MENU”, then press A.
The <MENU> screen will appear.

Performing Measurement in TASK Mode
The following two measurement methods are available for TASK mode.
One is to perform manual average conducted by messages displaying the result after each measurement
using a single target color. The measurement result obtained by this method will be the average of the
measured data obtained by each measurement. The other is to perform measurements in a series using
the specific target color for each measurement and obtain the measurement result for each measurement.
Note
• To perform measurement in TASK mode, a task must be downloaded to the instrument in advance. A task can
be downloaded using the optional, previously used Color Data Software “SpectraMagic” (Ver. 3.2 or higher;
except for Ver.3.5) from the PC connected to the instrument.
• TASK mode doesn’t allow you to set measurement conditions and select target colors using the instrument alone.
The measurement condition for TASK mode and target color to be used for measurement must be set using Spec

traMagic and downloaded in the TASK together with the task. Measurement of the target color can also be per-
formed by the instrument alone.
• Prior to start of measurement, be sure to perform white calibration. If necessary, perform zero calibration be-
fore white calibration.

If power is turned OFF during TASK mode, the <INITIAL> screen for TASK mode (see step 4 on page E-100) will
be displayed when power is turned ON next time.
