Setting Color Difference Tolerances
Keeping B held down to left or right will cause the value to change continuously.
“MAJOR” in the L*a*b* color space will be “a*” axis when “OFFS.” and “ROTAT.” on the “a*b*”
plane are “0” (ZERO).
To change a value that has been
set, press C (MEAS. button) in
the screen where “
: <MEAS.>”
is displayed. This will take you to
the previous items, so change the
value.

If the measurement conditions (illuminant 2, observer, specular component mode,
etc.) are displayed, turn B to select it and press A to switch to the screen
that allows setting elliptical tolerances for illuminant 2. Set the desired elliptical
tolerances in the same way as in steps 6 and 7.
Example when “

/I+E” is set for “MASK/GLOSS” and illumi-
nant 2 is selected.

Turn B to select “PREV”, then press A.
The <TARGET> screen will reap-
pear.

to set elliptical tolerances using CMC coefficients or automatically set them using the target colors and some
preset values.
