Model LR16 [Recorder function / File transfer to/from a computer]
Enabling USB connection
File transfer to/from a computer
After you connect the LR16 to your computer,
turn on the both machines and follow the
procedure below to enable USB connection.
In the following procedure, it is assumed that
any project is loaded to the recorder of the
LR16.
(1) Press the [ENTER] key to bring up the
MENU screen.
When you bring up the MENU screen for
the first time, "Mark point" is highlighted.
(2) Use the [MENU] dial to highlight "USB" and
press the [ENTER] key.
The display now shows the USB menu
screen.
By connecting the [USB PC] port of the main unit to your personal computer, you can transfer
audio files between the LR16 and the personal computer.
You can copy audio data recorded by the LR16 to the hard disk of your computer and import to
a computer software application such as Digidesign Pro Tools.
You can also transfer the software upgrade file downloaded from our website to the LR16.

<Note>:
While a USB memory stick is con-
nected to the [USB HOST] port, you cannot
connect a personal computer to the [USB PC]
port. When you connect a personal computer
to the [USB PC] port, do not connect any de-
vice to the [USB HOST] port.
<Note>:
The LR16 can connect to a computer
running Windows ME/2000/XP/Vista or
Macintosh OS X. Check the OS of your computer
before using it with the LR16.

Connecting the LR16 to a personal computer
Connect the [USB PC] port of the LR16 to the
USB port of your computer using a USB cable,
as shown above. (Note that no USB cable is
supplied with the LR16.)
<Note>:
Before you connect the LR16 to your
computer, turn off the power of both the
machines.
