Settings (Edit mode)
Here’s how to assign a note message to a controller. Note messages are used in a performance, and can also be used to control DAW software.

Press the [EDIT] button so it’s lit.

The display will indicate “EDIT.”

Slightly move the controller to which you want to assign a note
message.
If the controller is a button, press it.
The display will indicate the number of the selected controller.

Check the indication in the display, then press the [ENTER] button.

Turn the VALUE knob to make the display indicate “NT” (Note
assign).

Press the [ENTER] button.

Turn the VALUE knob or press controller [A1 (0)] to get the “NT0”
indication for basic editing.

Press the [ENTER] button.
The display will indicate “CH- -.”
* The - - portion shows the currently specified value.

Enter the MIDI transmit channel.
Use the VALUE knob or controller [A1 (0)]–[B2 (9)] to specify the desired channel.

Press the [ENTER] button.
The display will indicate “N- -.”
* The - - portion shows the currently specified value.

Enter the note number. Use the VALUE knob or controller [A1]–
[A8] and [B1]–[B8] to specify the desired note number.

Press the [ENTER] button.

If the controller is [A1]–[A9], [B1]–[B9], [C1]–[C3], [L1]–[L4], or [P1], specify the
button mode (p. 64).
