3. Install:
balancer shaft 1
NOTE:
@
Align the punch mark a in the balancer
weight with the oil hole b in the upper crank-
case.
Make sure that the front balancer gear teeth
and the primary drive gear teeth mesh cor-
rectly.
Make sure that the slot c is facing in the
direction indicated in the illustration when
installing the balancer shaft.
4. Install:
balancer lever 1
balancer lever bolt 2
NOTE:
Temporarily tighten the balancer lever bolt.

5. Tighten:
balancer shaft 1
NOTE:
Tighten the balancer shaft to the specified
torque by turning it counterclockwise, and then
turn it one scale back on the balancer lever
scale.

6. Tighten:
balancer lever bolt 1
balancer shaft pinch bolt 2
NOTE:
Make sure that the balancer shaft does not
rotate.
