Switching the level meter
display type
The level meter below the display can indicate the level of
the signal after passing through the level controls/faders
(post-fader) or the signal before passing through the level
controls/faders (pre-fader). You can change the setting as
follows.
1.
From the main screen, press the [UTILITY/TRACK
EDIT] key in the display section.
The utility menu appears.
2.
Use the cursor left/right keys to bring up the
indication “UTILITY SYSTEM” on the display, and
press the [ENTER] key.
The system utility menu for making various system settings
appears.
3.
Use the cursor left/right keys to bring up the
indication “UTILITY LVL MET” on the display, and
press the [ENTER] key.
The current level meter setting will be displayed.
The setting has the following meaning.
POST
The meters show the level of the signal after passing through
the level controls/faders (default setting).
PRE
The meters show the level of the signal before passing
through the level controls/faders.
4.
Turn the dial to change the setting.
5.
To return to the main screen, press the [EXIT] key
several times.
Assigning a signal to the SUB
OUT jack
With the default settings of the MRS-1266, the STEREO
SUB OUT jack on the front panel carries the signal after the
[MASTER] fader. (Therefore it can be used as an extra
headphone jack.)
If required, you can assign a signal to the jack, so that it
carries only the signal from a specific input, track, or the
drum or bass channel. This is useful for example to extract
only the drum sound for further processing with an external
effect device. To assign a signal to this jack, proceed as
follows.
1.
From the main screen, press the [UTILITY/TRACK
EDIT] key in the display section.
The utility menu appears.
2.
Use the cursor left/right keys to bring up the
indication “UTILITY SUB OUT” on the display, and
press the [ENTER] key.
The signal currently assigned to the STEREO SUB OUT
jack will be displayed.
The following selections are available.
MASTER
Signal after [MASTER] faders
DRUM
Drum signal after [DRUM] fader
BASS
Bass signal after [BASS] fader
TR1 - TR8, TR9/10
Signal of respective track, after fader 1 - 8, 9/10.
INPUT
Signal after input [REC LEVEL] control
