When rhythm pattern input is completed, press the
STOP [
P
] key.
The REC [O] key goes out and the rhythm song display
appears again.
By pressing the ZERO [
U] key to return to the beginning of
the rhythm song and then pressing the PLAY [
R] key, you
can play the created rhythm song.
To edit a rhythm pattern after input, perform the following
steps when the REC [
O] key is lit.
Changing an entered rhythm pattern
Use the cursor left/right keys to display the name of the
rhythm pattern you want to edit, and then turn the dial to
select the new rhythm pattern.
Deleting an entered rhythm pattern
Use the cursor left/right keys to display the name of the
rhythm pattern you want to delete, and then press the
[DELETE/ERASE] key in the rhythm section. The currently
entered pattern is deleted, and the display indication changes
to " PTN".
NOTE
If you delete the rhythm pattern at the start of a song, there
will be no sound until the point where the next rhythm
pattern information is input.
If you delete a rhythm pattern in the middle of a song, the
preceding pattern will be repeated until the point where the
next rhythm pattern information is input.
Deleting a specific measure
Use the cursor left/right keys to call up the measure to delete.
Then press the cursor up key repeatedly to bring up the
indication "EV" and press the [DELETE/ERASE] key.
The indication "DELETE?" appears. Press the [ENTER] key
to carry out the deletion. Subsequent measures are moved up
by one count.
HINT
Another way to build a song is to first enter dummy rhythm
patterns for the required number of measures, and then add
rhythm pattern information only at the measures where the
pattern should change. This quickly gives you a series of
rhythm patterns.
2-2 Entering chord information
When you have finished entering rhythm pattern information,
you can specify chord information (root and chord type). The
bass sound phrase will change according to this information.
For example, you may have a rhythm pattern with a phrase
that normally plays in E minor. By specifying G major as a
chord for that rhythm pattern, the bass line changes to major
scale and is transposed from E to G.
Chord information can be entered by measure, quarter note
or sixteenth note. You can also change the chord/root during
a rhythm pattern.
