White Calibration
White Calibration
White calibration must be performed prior to start of measurement after the power is turned ON.

Own calibration data has been registered to the White Calibration Plate supplied with the instrument.
Although white calibration data is retained in internal memory even after power is turned off, it is still necessary
to repeat white calibration each time you switch the power back on.
The reading may fluctuate slightly due to changes in the ambient temperature or due to heat generation caused by
repeated operation of the instrument. In this case, make sure to perform white calibration regularly.
White calibration is not required if you just want to see the measured data without performing measurement.
Note
White calibration must be performed at the same temperature as the one at which measurement will be per-
formed.
Before starting white calibration, make sure that the instrument is sufficiently acclimatized to the ambient tem-
perature.
Before starting white calibration, select the desired MASK/GLOSS setting from M/I+E, M/SCI, M/SCE, S/I+E,
S/SCI and S/SCE in the <FILE> screen. If M/
***
is selected, set MAV to the instrument. If S/
***
is select-
ed, set SAV to the instrument. For MAV, set the measurement area selector switch and Target Mask to MAV.
For SAV, set them to SAV.
A lens position error will occur if the lens position does not match the one set in the <FILE> screen, and a
calibration error will occur if the Target Mask does not match.
