Recording and Saving the Performance
5.
Touch <NewSong>.
The [
(Play/Stop)] button will blink, and the RM-700 will enter recording-standby mode.
Start Recording
6.
Press the [
(Play/Stop)] button.
When recording starts, the [
(Play/Stop)] and [ (Rec)] buttons’ indicators light up.
Stop Recording
7.
Press the [
(Play/Stop)] button.
Recording will stop, and the “Rename” screen appears.
* If you don’t need to rename the song, proceed to step 10.

Touch
to move the cursor.
9.
Enter the desired characters.
10.
When you’ve specified the desired name, touch <Execute>.
The recorded song will be saved to USB memory.
Play Back the Recorded Performance
11.
Press the [Song] button so its indicator is lit.
The Song selection screen appears.
12.
Touch <Ext Memory>, and then select the song that you recorded.
13.
Press the [
(Play/Stop)] button.
The recorded performance is played back.
When you press the [ (Play/Stop)] button, playback stops.
Icon
Explanation
< ABC >–< YZ >
Enters a character at the cursor location.
For example, each time you touch the <ABC> icon, the character to be entered will cycle in the order of A
B
C
A...
< A–0 >
Switches between entering letters and numbers.
< Del >
Delete the character at the cursor position.
