KEYTRK
Key Tracking
-100 ··· +100
Key Tracking allows you to dynamically alter
the time settings of the selected envelope’s
stages (except Delay and Attack) by the Note
Number that triggered this envelope.
When positive settings are used, the high
notes add time to D1, D2, R1 and R2 time
settings, making the envelope take longer to
complete. Low notes subtract from these time
settings. The note that determines the mid-
point is the
KTBASE parameter, next.
KTBASE
Key Tracking
Base Note
C0 ··· G10
This parameter sets the midpoint between the
range of notes where adding time to the
envelope and subtracting time occurs.
This parameter spans the entire range of MIDI
notes from C0 to G10.
LVLTRK
Level Tracking
-100 ··· +100
This parameter allows you to dynamically
alter the
LEVEL setting – the overall output
level – of the selected envelope by the Note
Number that triggered this envelope.
A setting of
0% means no modulation.
VELMOD
Level Velocity
Modulation
-100 ··· +100
This parameter allows you to dynamically
alter the
LEVEL setting – the overall output
level – of the selected envelope by the Velocity
of the key that triggered this envelope.
A setting of
0% means no modulation.
RELMOD
Release 2
Modulation
-100 ··· +100
This parameter allows you to dynamically
alter the Release2
TIME setting of the selected
envelope by the Note Number that triggered
this envelope. See examples below.
Key Tracking and RELMOD Release 2 Modulation
The
TIME and RELMOD parameters modulate the stage time settings (as set in the
TIME page) by the Note Number that triggered the envelope. If you refer back to
page 54 when we covered Keyboard Properties, each key of the A6’s keyboard as
well as any received MIDI Note is assigned a number. This number is used by the A6
to determine what musical note or notes to play.
The
KEYTRK Key Tracking setting affects Decay 1, Decay 2, Release 1 and Release 2
stage times. The
RELMOD Release 2 Mod setting affects Release 2 only. For our
discussion, let’s use Middle C (C5) as the
KTBASE note.
At Middle C, the selected envelope’s stages are not affected and will proceed
according to the times as set in the
TIME page. Consider Middle C (or any other note
selected as the
KTBASE) as the “neutral note”.
