Set IP Addresses and Subnet Mask
This procedure is required for a network connection to the VTrak. In order for the
network connection to work, you must set the IP addresses of the Management
Port and Gateway, and set the Subnet Mask.
If you do not plan to use a network connection, you can skip to the next
procedure.
To enable DHCP:
1. From the Network Management menu, press 1 and Enter to access the
Management Port menu.
2. Press 1 and Enter to access DHCP.
3. Press Y and Enter to enable DHCP on VTrak.
4. Press Enter again to return to the Management Port menu.
To make settings manually:
1. From the Network Management menu, press 1 and Enter to access the
Management Port menu.
Caution
Use of the DHCP feature on VTrak can result in losing network
connection to the VTrak after a shutdown or power failure. For this
reason, Promise recommends a static IP address.
