Printing from the Optional 500-sheet and
250-sheet Trays
There are two kinds of paper feeders: 250-sheet and 500-sheet. The
paper feeder operation sequence is controlled by the paper handling
PCA. The paper handling PCA has the 8-bit microcomputer, and
controls the serial communications between the operation sequence
control of the paper handling and the DC controller PCA of the printer.
The paper handling PCA drives motors and solenoids with various
commands from the DC controller PCA. The paper handling PCA
sends the status of the paper feeder back to the printer at the same
time. (Refer to page 7-74 for the wiring diagrams.)
