Printing on wrong side
of paper. The label on
the ream of paper
indicates which side
to print on. The
different surface
properties of some
papers may cause
problems if loaded
wrong side up.
Check for the arrow on the paper wrapper. Be sure
paper is loaded with the arrow pointing down in the
paper trays, or arrow pointing up in Tray 1.
Paper surface too
smooth for proper
toner adhesion.

Bad transparencies.
Transparencies can
have this problem
because they are not
designed for proper
toner adhesion.
