Chapter 5 Creating a Performance
Chapter 5
Establishing Settings for an
Entire Performance
(COMMON)
PERFORM NAME (Performance Name)
You can give a Performance a name of up to 12 characters in
length.
Use [ ]/[ ] to move the cursor, and then turn the
[VALUE] knob or press [INC]/[DEC] to select the desired
character.
Available characters/symbols:
space, AZ, az, 09, ! # $ % & ( ) * + , - . / : ; < = > ? @ [ \ ]
^ _ ? |
Press [SHIFT] to display the following in the bottom right
corner of the screen.

Aa: Switches between uppercase and lowercase
characters.
INS: Inserts a space at the cursor location and shifts the
remaining text to the right by one character position.
DEL: Deletes the character at the cursor and shifts the
remaining text one character position to the left.
Press each of these buttons in order to execute its
corresponding function (refer to the figure).

Sets the channel which will control Multi-effects assigned to
the Performance.
Settings for Each Part
The parameters that can be set for each Part in the current
Performance are assigned to the function select buttons as
follows.

How to Set Performance Parameters:
1. Select the desired Performance.
2. Press the function select button for the type of parameter
to be set.
3. Use [ ]/[ ] to select the page containing the
parameter you wish to set.
4. Press PART SELECT [1/9][8/16] to select the Part you
want to set up.
To select a Part 916, press [1-8/9-16] so that its indicator
lights, and press PART SELECT [1/9][8/16].
5. Use [ ]/[ ] to move the cursor to the parameter
you want to set.
6. Turn the VALUE dial or press [INC]/[DEC] to select the
desired value.
7. Press [EXIT] to return to the PATCH PLAY page.
