Articulation les provide a compact means of storing variations on a set of instruments, without the need to
save multiple copies of the same samples. ey also oer a means of long-distance collaboration, and a way
for sound developers to distribute updates to customers.
Save Articulation…[Alt] + [F] + [T]
Exports a Giga Articulation le from the currently open .gig le. An articulation le contains the same
instrument denitions as a .gig le, but no samples. See “Load Articulation” above for more information.
Exit: [Alt] + [F] + [X]
Shuts down the Giga Editor.
Edit Menu
e Edit Menu is where you will nd the various
editing commands.
Many of these commands can be accessed with the
computer keyboard. ese keyboard commands
match the standard Windows keyboard shortcuts
for the most part.
e Cut, Copy, Paste, and Delete commands on this
menu will change to reect the type of object that is
currently selected – instrument, bank, region,
sample, etc.
To make an edit, select an item with the mouse and go to the menu with the mouse or with a keyboard
shortcut and choose the edit command you want to use.
ere are also various short cut keyboard combinations you can use.
• [Ctrl] + [X] to Cut
• [Ctrl] + [C] to Copy
• [Ctrl] + [V] to Paste
• [Delete] key to Delete
Many of these options are also available by right-clicking on the item instead of going up to the menu.
Undo: [Ctrl] + [Z] or [Alt] + [E] + [U]
is will undo your most recent edit.
• Selecting this again will “redo” the edit that was “undone”.
