Sample Settings
is section allows you to override the unity note and ne tuning of individual samples.
ere are some special considerations to be aware of when editing this part of the articulation:
When you change a value in this section, only the single split which has the editing focus is
modied. If additional regions or splits are selected (in yellow) they are not modied when you
change these parameters, because the tuning and loop points appropriate to one sample are rarely
appropriate for a dierent sample.
Unlike other articulation parameters, these parameters are modied automatically when you map
a sample to the region. e sample carries its own copy of these parameters (visible in the Sample
properties dialog) and these values are copied to the articulation when the sample is mapped.
Unity note
When Pitch Tracking is enabled, this is the note at which the sample will be played at its original or native
pitch. (When Pitch Tracking is disabled, the Unity Note is ignored.)
Fine tuning (cents)
Adjusts the ne tuning of the sample. Expressed in cents with a range of +/- 50.
Loop start, end, length
ese parameters set the loop points for the sample. Set them to zero (the default) for unlooped samples.
e loop points are also visible and adjustable in the Waveform View window. e green marker is the
loop start and the red marker is the loop end.
