(b) Configuring a system using safety stations and standard stations
One master station (standard station) and up to 120 slave stations can be connected per network. Up to 32
safety stations can be connected per network.
When a safety station is set as a master station, the following restrictions apply:
• Some dedicated instructions cannot be used. ( Page 317, Appendix 7.2)
• Interlink transmission is not available.
The maximum number of safety connections per master/local module is as follows:
• Asynchronous mode: 31 connections
• Synchronous mode: 8 connections
