6.3 Wiring
This section describes the cable wiring and precautions. For network configuration, cables, and hubs used for the
wiring, refer to the system configuration. ( Page 47, CHAPTER 5)
(1) Ethernet cable connection
(a) Connecting the cable
1. Power off the master/local module and the
connected device.
2. Push the Ethernet cable connector into the
master/local module until it clicks. Pay attention to
the connector's direction.
3. Power on the master/local module and the
connected device.
4. Check whether the LINK LED of the port connected
with an Ethernet cable is on.
The time between the power-on and the LINK LED
turning on may vary. The LINK LED usually turns on in a
few seconds. Note, however, that the time may be
extended further if the linkup process is repeated
depending on the status of the device on the line.
If the LINK LED does not turn on, refer to the
troubleshooting section and take corrective actions.
