ANNOUNCEMENT SERVICE
General Description
This feature allows station users to record messages on Digital Announcement Trunk (DAT) cards. When a sta-
tion user dials the feature access code for this feature, the user receives the corresponding message from the sys-
tem.
Also Announcement Service can be used to provide a voice message in the following cases:
•
An incoming C.O. line/Tie line call has been transferred and encounters a busy or no answer condition.
•
An incoming DID line/Tie line call has been terminated to a station and encounters a busy or no answer
condition.
•
Internal Recorded Message in place of Music on Hold
•
Night Announcement

All stations.
Operating Procedure
To access
1. Lift the handset and receive dial tone.
2. Dial the applicable Announcement Service access code.
3. Receive the message.
To erase an announcement
1. Lift the handset and receive dial tone.
2. Dial the Announcement Service delete access code.
3. Receive feature dial tone.
4. Dial the Announcement Service group number.
5. Restore the handset.
To record
1. Lift the handset and receive dial tone.
2. Dial the Announcement Service record access code.
3. Dial the Announcement Service group number and the DAT card number.
4. Receive 3 seconds of service set tone.
5. Record a message.
6. Restore the handset.
